"Ramone's Shadow Sense Tingles"
I decided in order to further my aspirations to be able to draw decent people, that I would practice everyday, starting with one face per day. This is actually the last in this series to be drawn, but most clearly shows my frustration with trying to get both halves of the face to look the same. Blue ballpoint, 2004.

"Number Nine"
The second to last to be drawn in this front-face cartoon practice series. Again, the frustration trying to get both eyes to look the same shows around the right eye - but not too bad, considering these are all drawn in ballpoint with no eraser. Blue ballpoint, 2004.

"Fance Is Allowed Launch"
The second of the series. The frustration is again apparent, but put to good use. The right side of the face is the "after" part of "before and after". My friend had a dream where for some reasons all nations were launching their nukes into space. Then France is allowed launch (much to my friends disapproval). Everyone cheers, but they don't notice the sparks coming out of the missile, or even start panicking until it drops back toward earth... I thought it would be fun if the "after" version used a broken fishing hook and bobber for a earring. A good possibility for future Photoshop work. Blue ballpoint, 2004

"Ramone (Clone #541) Versus Hive (#3,412 [inbred!])"
The first cartoon of the practice. I got the proportions wrong and made the skull too shallow, so I made him a clone and decided to make it a fight poster versus some alien. Then I decided that for it to be a fair fight, the alien would have to be seriously inbred. Blue ballpoint, 2004.

"Mister Lovely"
This is not actually part of the serious cartoon face practice, but an attempt to make a horrific poorly-proportioned character to peer down at everyone. I started to write a horror short about him, but I don't know whether it'll ever finish or not, since I'm not exactly sure what it is that motivates Mister Lovely. Blue ballpoint, 2004.
